Music and Gender

  Most genders would listen to rap music or chill music because that's what they like to hear at that moment. Music is where any gender can listen and dance freely. For example, most genders would listen to NBA young boys. Because he is one of the most famous rappers in the rap game. Then you Lil Baby; he is one of the "GOATS'' in the game too. His wordplay and freestyles are hard.  With every song or feature, you have of him he never misses. Then most genders would listen to him speak straight facts about anything and everything about Be J. Cole, But he's really underrated when it comes to stuff like this. Next, you have Kendrick Lamar, one of the best wordplay rappers. Then you would some rapper that wants to be romantic when different genders would listen to Tory Lanze, Jacquees, toosii, and H.E.R. Them artists ar great.



    NBA Young Boy is one of the most famous rappers in the rap game and his Music is where any gender can listen and dance freely. Because he makes great music that people like in the rap game and he never misses when it comes to writing songs. His songs are about being toxic. Songs like this turn to the people that are toxic in anything like a toxic relationship, abusive people, manipulated people, and guys that are arrogant with a big ego, it also turns to the people that have chips on their shoulders.
        Toosii is a good rapper too but his type of music for different touches on the romantic side of the rap game and also he touches on most females that had been through some stuff in their relationships with a guy that has done her wrong every time she meets them.

    J. Cole Is one of the most slept-on and underrated rappers because he speaks on what's happened in the world and is one of the coldest and best freestyle in the game. This music touches on genders that have been through some stuff and they found a way to come up and to be humble. For example, this goes toward genders that do sports.

    Rap is flooded with a bunch of great male artists. Me personally I enjoy listening to more of lil baby when I listen to rap as his word play and freestyle is done so well. I believe many people have their own perspective of different artist and I wouldn't mind seeing more female rap artist make their way up to bring some diversity to the genre.

    I think it's cool how you described each artist with their different meanings behind what they rap about. Like you said, NBA YoungBoy is a rapper that any gender can listen to and enjoy, but Toosii is an artist that will touch more on the romantic side of relationships, which I think is important in the rap genre to have different artists that have different styles of music.

    Another good artist that's similar to J cole and talks about real world events as well in Jonner Lucas he plays more to make his audience become more aware of what's going on and trying to help people make a change in the world throughout his music

Music and Me

      Hi everyone! I am Nigel smith and I'm a student in this class I play basketball here at Converse University.  When I was younger I was in the middle school band for a year and it was fun. I played the trumpet and played the drums. One thing that has my interest in this class is learning how to hear different sounds from music and how it would affect the whole rhythm and also why that producer chose that certain beat.      The city where I was born and raised is called Lawrenceville which is in Georgia.
